Dear readers,

Change, disruption, transformation—these buzzwords have been ubiquitous in companies for the past several years. Transformation and change are nothing new, of course, yet it feels as if the speed at which new developments take place has been accelerating.

Recognizing changes at an early stage, addressing transformative technological or social conditions and adapting to a changing market are essential if companies are to survive and thrive in turbulent times—from small or medium-sized enterprises to global players. In a world that seems to be becoming more and more complex, only a few companies are able to do this on their own. We need expertise networks and development partnerships, but especially close contacts with our customers to anticipate future developments and to set the right course for the services of tomorrow. The whole is more than just a sum of its parts: this is particularly true when it comes to shaping the future.
This issue of ABOUT TRUST aims to encourage people to take an active role in tackling change and to do it with zest. Our entire lives are made up of changes—it’s just the way life goes. This is beautifully summed up in this quote ascribed to painter Vincent van Gogh: “Change is as necessary as the renewal of the leaves in springtime.”

I hope this issue entertains and inspires you!

Sincerely,
